March 26, 2006 Training, Training, Training
This is work, this is real hard work - CATIA - ENOVIA and DELMIA - all necessary modeling elements for the future (present) of aircraft development. My brain hurts, but it is growing and much stronger. So is it Grottaglie, Italy or Nagoya, Japan next? I'll know soon. Either will be my new home base for four months, and I'm relieved that Spring and Summer are approaching as "home base" is just that, with many partners in China, Korea, Malaysia on the one end and France, Sweden, England on the other. I'm hoping for Italy, but Japan will be far easier. Either option is just fine. March 20, 2006 Made It!
What a trip - more later!
March 12, 2006 The Emerald City (and Beyond)
When the world's largest aircraft company commits to building the world's first commercial aircraft, using primarily carbon fiber reinforced composites, you know that Carbonboy just has to get involved. While I will not be at liberty to discuss the specifics of my assignment, I will be able to share my global adventures with you all over the next few years. First leg of the adventure - Piney Point to Everett - a 2900 mile drive starting today. The 325xi is packed and ready for a five day I-94 road trip. After that, it looks like I may be bi-coastal, operating from both the east and west coast, and perhaps both Asia and Europe. Rarely do I get excited over a new assignment, but this just may be the exception! Look for regular updates as the journey begins.
